Ok, a very young me playing Ernest O'shea in 'Pink string and sealing wax' Clacton 1987 I think!
Two pix from 'Jeffrey' at the Kenneth More Theatre 1997. I'd loved the film so much that I wanted to do it on stage (careful!) It took an amazing amount of work to get the show on and caused huge media attention in the Ilford area. People were outraged at the amount of 'Gay' work the theatre was producing. 4 Gay shows in about 10 years (Shocking) It was the most amount of fun I've ever had on stage. It was worth all the work.
My manager has a theory that the only shows I perform in are either Gay or Religious! This is based on the fact that over the years I have worked at the KMT, I've only done a few shows. Playing Jesus in Godspell twice was again great fun, but being crucified was not!!! (See pic on right) And also had a good stab at Pilate in J Christ...... talk about killng yourself!!!!
These pix were taken from two, one act plays again performed at the KMT. I played a married man (Ha!) and a vicar. Again a lot of fun, especially because the wine in the 1st play was real.
Yes me with a tash! This was taken during filming for a youth project film in the late 80's. The very handsom man with me was Dean, very straight, but a great laugh.
During the run up to 'Little shop of horrors' a group of us went off for a day of fun at Chessington. We actually managed to chat up and then go drinking with most of the staff. In the pic with me is Jason, Emma and Luke Hope (now a big DJ on the gay scene) Sadly Emma died  in 2002. She was one of the most talented performers I have ever had the chance to work with. She was a wonderful and funny women and will be missed.
OK, anyone who makes acomment about the hair dies! It was the 80's and I was a big fan of the new romantic thing. The handsom guy next to me is Richard. We were friends during the last few years of secondary school. After I left Clacton I lost touch with him. Again, sadly he passed away late 90's.
Home you go
