I've spoken before about having constants in your life. Whether those constants be in your friends, relationships or events. I think it's vitality important in today's maddening world that everyone can fall back on such securities - people and places that will make you feel safe again when everything else is getting 'too much'.
For me and the Hubz, 'our' little place in Callahonda, on The Costa del Sol, is one such constant and I couldn't imagine a year going by where we didn't get to visit. I think I'd feel incomplete!
Apart from the odd occasion, Callahonda is just about chilling out (we leave the messy partying for Sitges, Holland and Soho, lol!). Just unwinding, re-charging and appreciating our surroundings with the hope that, one day, we will be waking up and looking out accross the Mediterrannean every day of the year. We feel so at home there and we still have our dreams.
We didn't realise it at first - it wasn't until we looked through Rob's Mum's Guestbooks and found our first entry - but this break was our 10th anniversary in Callahonda and we couldn't of wished for a more wonderful way to celebrate!
At first, we weren't sure how the break was going to pan out (if at all). Discussions had been made between us and a couple of dear friends that pointed in all 4 of us spending time in Spain together. When these plans fell through both Rob and I were pretty gutted but decided it was for the best and went ahead with sorting the flights for just the 2 of us.
Callahonda (for the most part) has always just been about Me and Rob. Getting away from everything and everybody. We can then return to The UK stronger and revitalised and ready to jump into the chaos again.....

And special thanks go to the beautiful Kenzie, Ed & the boyz who helped make our 14 hours of hell at Malaga Airport at the mercy of Easy Jet alot more bearable.. and yes, we are gutted we didn't get photos!
